Underlay sits between your floor and your carpet to provide a wide range of benefits, some of which are often overlooked.
Thicker flooring underlay is often seen as a more premium option when it comes to a new floor in your home. This is because thicker underlay offers a range of benefits that can improve the overall performance and longevity of your flooring.
We offer a high quality 8mm underlay free with all carpet orders with a step up to a 10mm and 11mm option available

One of the benefits you may think of straight away is an improved under-foot feel for better comfort. Thicker underlays will provide more cushioning enhancing the comfort of your new carpet

Heat Insulation
You may be familiar with the "tog" rating on duvets. Did you know that underlay is also given a tog rating and helps to insulate your home? The denser materials keep the warmth in so not only do you get increased comfort but savings on your energy bills also.

Much like it's ability to insulate heat, underlay also helps with insulating sound significantly reducing the in-room noise as well as reduce the noise in the rooms below where the underlay is installed.
